On the site of a wooden church built in the 17th century, a Székely-style wooden church was erected in 1938 from the donations of the faithful and from income provided for this purpose by the Bató family. The building fell victim to arson in 1977. It was rebuilt in 1999 according to the original plans, from public donations. Bearing the stylistic features of Hungarian Art Nouveau, the wooden church is made unique by its shingled roof and its pinnacled, galleried tower. Its entrance is a beautifully carved Székely gate.
