The Herman Ottó Museum is one of the largest and richest provincial museums. Its picture gallery is of national standing. At the permanent exhibition, renewed in 2005, the general public can get acquainted with the history of Hungarian fine art from the 1700s to the middle of the 20th century through prestigious works. From the creators of the Hungarian Baroque to the period illustrating the diversity of the era between the two world wars, works by outstanding figures of Hungarian painting can be seen.
