The Gothic Avas Reformed Church is the oldest building in the centre of Miskolc. In its exterior appearance the church preserves its 15th-century form: a three-nave hall church with Gothic details. Its wooden ceiling was made in the second half of the 18th century, though only a little of the painted furnishing has survived (a painted coffered Moses pew, a black pew). The clock of the separate bell tower marks the passing of time with a carillon every quarter of an hour.
